How We Inspect and Grade Women’s Shoes

StocklotShoes inspects women’s footwear stocklots before shipment by checking product source, production period, materials, construction, adhesive condition, surface finish, size assortment, pair matching, packaging, and overall consistency.

1. End-of-Season and Brand Stock

Our inventory consists primarily of end-of-season and slow-moving women’s shoes from brand retail channels, excess e-commerce inventory, factory liquidation stock, and cancelled export orders. For an overview of stock types, quantities, packing, and ordering, read our buyer’s guide to wholesale women’s shoe stocklots.

End-of-season brand stock is often among the highest-quality inventory we handle. Depending on the lot, it may include intact original packaging and complete size ranges. From materials and workmanship to finishing and packaging, the quality is comparable to products sold through physical retail stores. We maintain long-term relationships with brands and suppliers that need reliable channels for seasonal and slow-moving footwear. To protect their distribution policies, these products are supplied only to eligible overseas markets.

2. E-Commerce Returns and Excess Inventory

Online retail platforms generate a large volume of footwear returns. Reasons can include sizing, material expectations, packaging damage, or a change of mind. After receiving these lots, our team sorts, inspects, grades, and repacks the shoes before offering them to wholesale buyers.

These lots are popular with wholesalers that supply physical stores because they combine a broad range of styles with competitive prices. Browse our current women’s footwear stocklots to see available quantities and product mixes.

3. Product Age, Inspection, and Grading

A common misconception is that stock shoes are simply old products that have been stored for years. We do not classify footwear that has been in storage for more than two years as current-season stock, because adhesives and materials can deteriorate over time. Before accepting a lot, we check the production period, materials, construction, surface condition, size assortment, pair matching, and packaging.

Choosing an experienced supplier is essential. Our team has worked in footwear wholesale since 2001 and has served more than 100 wholesale clients. Learn more about StocklotShoes and our sourcing experience.

4. Factory Liquidation Stock

Across China’s footwear production hubs, factories open, expand, close, or liquidate every year. This can release excess materials, semi-finished goods, and completed shoes into the stock market. These lots are often competitively priced, but their condition and consistency can vary.

Large factories may manufacture for several brands or major retail chains at the same time. When a factory closes, otherwise saleable inventory can become available in large quantities. We evaluate the construction, finish, size range, packaging, and overall consistency of each lot before offering it to buyers.

5. Cancelled Export Orders

Some footwear factories specialize in export production. When an overseas order is cancelled after materials have been prepared or production has begun, the finished shoes may enter the stock market. These lots can offer consistent styles, complete size ranges, good packaging, and substantial quantities.

Branded goods may be subject to geographic distribution restrictions, so we review the intended destination before confirming an order. Our stock footwear customers are concentrated mainly in the Middle East and Southeast Asia, while many cancelled export orders were originally produced for buyers in Europe and the United States.

6. Our Inspection and Grading Process

  • Verify the lot: confirm its source, production period, quantity, and size assortment.
  • Inspect the shoes: check materials, construction, adhesive condition, surface finish, hardware, and pair matching.
  • Review packaging: assess original boxes, labels, protective materials, and carton condition.
  • Grade and sort: separate products by condition and consistency, then disclose the grade to the buyer.
  • Confirm before shipping: provide current photos or videos, packing details, and the final quantity for approval.
